Big City Bride is thrilled to have Sarah and David’s Chicago wedding featured on the Style Me Pretty blog today. They chose the Columbus Park Refectory as the Chicago wedding venue for their vintage garden party. Gerber + Scarpelli were the Chicago wedding photographers who captured every detail so beautifully, and there were so many to document!
Every time Sarah and David had a Chicago wedding planning meeting at the Big City Bride office each planner would pop in to see what they were up to. Her flower design was loose and romantic with pops of color. Her linens were gorgeous layers that remind you of your grandma’s lace and her plates reminiscent of grandma’s china. It was all eclectic perfection.
As a designer, Sarah focused on the details. Her ceremony programs were printed on handkerchiefs! Her menu cards were beautiful. Her table numbers were embroidered. Her escort cards were the labels on each bottle of soda, and don’t miss the detail that each bottle is tied with a little peach tag!
What an absolutely beautiful couple and wedding! Look at Sarah’s dress! It is so fun to see brides choose a wedding dress a little out of the ordinary, especially when it shows off fantastic shoes!
We have to mention the fun that continued long after this gorgeous Chicago wedding ended. The after party had guests turning in their dancing shoes for bowling shoes for late night bowling. Then the next morning wedding guests were invited to the Cubs game! It was a full weekend of celebrating, as it should be!
